Main School - Activities

Beyond the classroom there is ample opportunity for boys and girls to relax and to develop wider interests through a busy programme of extra curricular activities. Popular clubs include cookery, pioneers, model making and a wide range of environmental, musical and sporting activities. Some activities take place at lunch times and most at the end of the School day. St Michael’s boasts its own choir and band, both of which practise and perform regularly.

A team of qualified teachers also visits the School each week to give lessons across a wide range of musical instruments including woodwind, brass and percussion. There is frequent opportunity for children to take public examinations with the Associated Board of Music and most importantly to perform publicly in the many concerts, both formal and informal that are held each term.

Parents and friends of the School are invited to our class assemblies, musical and dramatic performances and to our art exhibitions, which allow us to celebrate together the wealth of talent in School.
