From the Headmaster

There is no greater privilege than to be a Head and I am proud to lead St Michael’s and to play a part in shaping the lives of our boys and girls.

St Michael’s is a family school and as in any family each has an important role to play, from our youngest ladybirds to our eldest Year 8 Scholars

As a non-selective school we are aware that every child is different and each has strengths in many areas; for some they have skills and talents that are still to be uncovered.

It is my aim for every child that each is encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available both curricular and extra curricular and that, as a result, each will be able to grow in every respect; academically; on the games field; in creative, dramatic and musical activities and most importantly that every boy and girl learns a strong sense of responsibility that they can carry forward for the rest of their lives. In short, that they are valued and they feel they have something valuable to offer.

I wish each of the above aspects of life for my own children. I believe them to be the recipe for childhood happiness and fulfilment and I hope that our website gives you an insight into life here.

A further invitation is of course for you to come and see St Michael’s for yourself. I am very proud of our school and would be delighted to show you around!

Philip Foley, Headmaster
